THE LIONS ROAR.
My dear,
In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love.
In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile.
In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm.
I realized, through it all, that…
In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy.
For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back."
~Albert Camus
Staying strong in the midst of hardship requires you to manage your thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
ACCEPT REALITY.
Acceptance doesn't mean agreement.
Accepting reality is about recognizing what's within your control. When you can't control the situation, focus on controlling yourself.
KEEP IT REAL.
Accepting your reality from moment to moment helps you manage your thoughts and regulate your emotions, this is key to “productive positive outcome behaviour”.
The choices you make when you're faced with a problem determines how quickly you'll find a solution.
Ask yourself, "What's one thing I can do right now to help myself?”
“What’s right for me now?”
DON’T OVER THINK.
Talk to yourself like you'd talk to a trusted friend.
When your thoughts become unhelpful and fearful, take over that small and limiting mind space and introduce thoughts from a calm statement that confirms your going to be ok and can handle your struggles.
Remember that just because you think something, doesn't make it true.
